I want to welcome everyone to this message board. Feel free to post any question or concern you may have.
As for me, I have experienced TPN for 15 years with my son. So I am a old hat with that. Now my Husband Dave is on TPN. So I understand dealing with kids on it, and dealing with the adult. In some way, it was allot easier with my son. He did not talk back.....LOL Like Dave does....LOL
I also have done NG, NJ, G, J and GJ feeds, with many different types of formulas. That has all changed, now. But I can be of help. I sure know how to deal with doctors....
My life over the last 21 years, has been dealing with some kind of illness. Sadly, I also understand dealing with losing someone you love, our son, Shawn, passed 5 years ago. It was not due to TPN, if anything TPN gave Shawn a life, that he would not have had if we did not do TPN. I believe that TPN can be a life saver. Many people are told if you start TPN
you will not have a good out come. This is wrong in my eyes, if it is managed right, and with the right doctors, and the right home care company, you can have a long and happy life. I know this, because we have gone thru the doctors, and home care companies to know. I believe this with my whole heart.
Well time for me to get off my soap box. Feel free to express your ups and down, with this life we have all been given. Vent if you want, we are all shoulder to cry on. We all understand each other in so many ways. We are here to help when we can, and just to say how unfair life can be sometimes. We all live a far different life then what we planned or hoped for.
